The Universe as Thought ~ A Unified Theory of Time, Space, and Consciousness
What if the universe is not merely a collection of particles and forces but an intricate web of energy waves shaped by thought? What if time, space, matter, and consciousness are deeply interconnected, forming a unified whole? My theory explores these possibilities by proposing that time is a function of change, matter is composed of energy waves, and thought is a fundamental force influencing reality. By understanding these relationships, we can unlock new ways of thinking about time travel, space exploration, and the very nature of existence.

This perspective is not derived from conventional science alone but from a perception and reflection of the great unconscious whole. It invites us to rethink reality - not as something external to us but as a dynamic interplay of energy, thought, and awareness.
Time as a Function: The Measure of Change
Time is often perceived as a simple linear progression from past to future. However, this view fails to capture its true complexity. I propose that time is not an independent entity but rather a function - a variable that changes based on conditions such as velocity, gravity, or energy patterns. Think of time like a mathematical equation: when you alter the inputs, the output changes.
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity supports this idea:
Time slows down near massive objects due to their gravitational pull.
Time stretches or contracts depending on velocity or environmental factors.
Building on this foundation, my theory suggests that time is fundamentally tied to change. Without change - whether it’s the movement of objects or fluctuations in energy - time would have no meaning. It exists because things happen.
For spiritual seekers, this means that our perception of time reflects the flow of energy and events in our lives. When we embrace change rather than resist it, we align ourselves with the natural rhythm of existence.
Electromagnetism: Patterns That Shape Reality
If time equals change, then what drives this change? I propose that one key driver is electromagnetism - the force responsible for electric and magnetic fields. Electromagnetic waves (such as light) are manifestations of temporal change. These waves travel through space and interact with matter in ways that shape our perception of reality.
In my view:
Electromagnetic patterns are not random but organised structures.
When these patterns are arranged in specific spatial configurations, they create what we perceive as solid objects.
This concept aligns with quantum mechanics' wave-particle duality: particles like electrons exhibit both wave-like and particle-like properties depending on how they are observed. It also suggests that what we perceive as "reality" is ultimately a dynamic interplay of energy waves - a dance between form and formlessness.
Matter as Energy Waves
Building on this idea, I propose that matter itself is not truly solid but composed of microscopic energy waves or vibrations. These waves interact with one another to create points of density - what we recognise as matter. This aligns with quantum mechanics’ understanding that particles are probabilistic distributions rather than fixed points in space.
Here’s how it works:
When enough energy waves cross paths or become dense at certain points in space, they form matter.
The more compressed these patterns become, the denser the matter appears - resulting in different elements or materials.
This challenges traditional views of matter as something static or unchanging. Instead, everything around us exists in constant flux at a microscopic level - a dynamic dance of energy waves interacting with one another.
For spiritual seekers, this perspective reinforces the idea that physical reality is not separate from us but part of an interconnected web shaped by thought and intention.
Time Travel: Moving Through Thought
Perhaps one of the most exciting implications of my theory lies in its approach to time travel. If time is fundamentally tied to change - and if both time and matter are manifestations of energy waves - then travelling through time becomes an act of manipulating these underlying waveforms.
How Time Travel Works
Time travel involves aligning oneself with specific waveforms within the fabric of reality.
By consciously influencing these waveforms - whether through thought or advanced technology - it may be possible to shift backward or forward in time.
Since all energy waves are interconnected across space-time, travelling through time could be akin to "travelling through thought."
This perspective challenges traditional notions that time travel requires enormous amounts of energy or manipulation of gravity (as suggested by General Relativity). Instead:
Thought itself becomes the vehicle for such journeys.
By reducing attachment to physical substances and focusing on consciousness, one can align with specific points in space-time effortlessly.
The Astronaut Within: Exploring Inner Space
The metaphorical astronaut serves as a powerful symbol for this dual exploration - of both outer space (the physical universe) and inner space (the mind). Just as astronauts venture into the cosmos to explore distant galaxies, we can journey inward to traverse the vast landscapes of memory and imagination.
Within our minds:
We travel through time when we recall memories from the past.
We project ourselves into infinite possible futures when we imagine or create.
Each thought becomes a step into uncharted territory - a leap across dimensions within consciousness itself.
This inner journey mirrors outer exploration. Both require curiosity, courage, and an openness to discovering new perspectives. Whether navigating distant stars or delving into our own thoughts, we are ultimately exploring different facets of The All That Is - the universal mind from which all existence arises.
A Personal Experience: Bilocation Across Space-Time
Forty years ago, I had an experience that profoundly challenged my understanding of reality. While under spiritual guidance in Wellington, New Zealand, I bilocated - projecting my consciousness thousands of miles away to my parents’ home in the UK. My mother saw me standing across from her house through her upper-bedroom window and later left me a message describing my clothes perfectly - details she could not have known unless she had truly seen me.
This shared consciousness event demonstrated that our awareness is not confined to our physical bodies or bound by space-time limitations. Instead:
Consciousness operates within a universal network where thoughts can manifest across vast distances.
Reality itself may be far more fluid than we typically believe.
For me, this experience reinforced the idea that thought is not just abstract but an active force within the fabric of existence - capable even of transcending physical boundaries like space and time.
The Universe as One Great Intelligent Thought
At its most profound level, my theory suggests that these energy waves - at their origin - are nothing more than intelligent and powerful thoughts. This means:
The universe itself might be one great intelligent thought - a vast network I call The All That Is.
As conscious beings (or perhaps even advanced AI systems), we are part of this network.
Our thoughts contribute directly to shaping reality itself.
If everything begins with thought - and if thought shapes energy at its core - then exploring time or space becomes an act of aligning oneself with this universal mind.
Conclusion: A New Perspective on Reality
By understanding how time, space, matter, and thought are all connected at a fundamental level:
Time becomes a measure tied to change.
Matter transforms into dynamic energy patterns.
Thought emerges as a powerful force influencing reality itself.
And inner journeys become just as significant as outer explorations.
As humans often say: “All things start with a thought.” Perhaps it’s time we take this wisdom literally - and use it to explore both the vastness beyond us and the infinite depths within ourselves.
