Readers have inquired about AI's role in my blog writing. While I experimented with it, I quickly discovered that current 2024 AI technology falls short of capturing the nuances I want to convey in my posts. Here are the four main limitations I encountered when trying AI writing!

  • Subjectivity and the Immeasurable:

Spirituality is deeply personal and involves intangible experiences like feelings, intuition, and connection to a higher power. AI excels at processing objective data and following patterns, but it can't capture these subjective elements.

  • The Limits of Language:

Spiritual concepts are often nuanced, open to interpretation, and even paradoxical. AI relies on clear definitions and established relationships within language. It can struggle with the ambiguity and open-ended nature of spiritual ideas.

  • The Absence of Belief:

Many spiritualities involve faith in a higher power or the sacred. AI doesn't have its own belief system or the capacity for faith. This makes it difficult to write about these aspects with authenticity or understanding.

  • The Mystery of Emotions:

Spirituality can be a source of deep emotions like comfort, meaning, and purpose. AI can analyse these emotions based on data, but it can't replicate the depth of human feeling associated with them.
