A Life of Spiritual Exploration, Extraordinary Encounters, and Impactful Contributions

My Relevant Story Summary:

My name is Nigel John Farmer, and here I share something about myself, perhaps to help you understand a little better what makes me tick and drives me forward. I have always felt a little reluctant to share details, but my wife assures me now is the time! So, to reach this point of launching MeditatingAstronaut.com and the podcast titled "Spiritual Snacks & Cosmic Chats" and has been a journey that I have hopefully summarised for you, the reader.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and what drives me... My interest in spirituality started at the tender age of 12 when I sat in the audience of a spiritual medium event. A wave of euphoria washed over me, and the medium's words resonated deeply, confirming a connection to my spiritual lineage I hadn't fully understood before. The stunned reaction on my mother's face when the medium delivered a vivid message from my deceased paternal grandfather, who, when alive, was also a spiritual medium, cemented my newfound belief in the power of the unseen.

Life wasn't always easy. Witnessing my father's suicide attempt left a deep scar on my young soul. But I sought help, and with time and unwavering determination, I emerged stronger. The same resilience kicked in when a motorcycle accident at 17 left me with severe injuries. The road to recovery was gruelling, but I defied the odds and regained my independence, fuelled by an inner fire that wouldn't be extinguished.

In my early fifties, this injury challenged me again when I required a five-and-a-half-hour emergency surgery to place three titanium discs in my neck. The prospect of paraplegic paralysis was a stark reminder of life's fragility, and I can assure you I feel blessed every day.

My insatiable curiosity and thirst for knowledge led me on a global adventure. I have lived and worked across four continents, leveraging my expertise in micrographics and emerging digital security to support governments and businesses while expanding my horizons. This journey alone has led me down paths where, on reflection, certain players knew my value and skills far better than I did. I now recognize that I have always been able to think outside the box and see patterns that others might miss, capturing a lot of information in an instant.

Beyond the professional realm, I was drawn to the mysteries of the universe. My sensitivity to energy opened me to extraordinary experiences, from encounters with a Maori elder learning the principles of Wairuatanga spirituality to mediumship, channelling, and inexplicable phenomena like test encounters with poltergeist activity.

One particularly mind-bending experience happened in Wellington, New Zealand. Under spiritual guidance, I bi-located to my parents' home in the UK, thousands of miles away. My mother, seeing me through her upper-bedroom front-of-house window, as I stood directly across the road. She telephoned me in disbelief, describing my clothes perfectly in her answering machine message to me. This shared consciousness experience challenged everything I thought I knew about reality.

My fascination with the unknown extended to the mysterious world of crop circles. While living in Glastonbury, UK, I reconnected with someone who would become a dear friend. From our first meeting, she felt like a sister, as if we shared the same DNA. I've always affectionately called her "T." That summer, T invited me to participate in a fascinating project she was leading, which involved both crop circles and, in particular, the Avebury henge and stone circles. I volunteered as a photographer and videographer. Together, we explored the possibility that these intricate patterns were more than just human-made creations. We experienced unexplained energy shifts and mysteriously drained camera batteries.

One significant moment was when T, Tom, and my former wife agreed to ask the crop circle makers for proof of interspecies communication. We jointly envisioned a pictogram design with four specific elements. Early the next morning, all four of us sat on the ancient battlements of the Iron Age site of Old Sarum. To our astonishment, the crop circle makers responded in full, manifesting our agreed design in one of the wheat fields below.

This event, along with many others, continues to fuel my belief in synchronicity and various forms of interdimensional communication. One such experience included an encounter with an intelligent orange orb that appeared in my bedroom.

As my life continued to unfold, and I rapidly changed, it impacted my first marriage, and it ended. I went on to work and travel extensively throughout the UK, Europe, and North America in what back then was termed 'The New Age Field.' The Universe seemed to align in many ways. I was scouting out suitable venues for weekend spiritual workshops. I was early for my appointment and waited in the garden...a sweet man, larger than life, with a warm, friendly smile, approached me, assuring me that he was the gardener. I immediately resonated with him. He politely asked if I needed help. We sat down on a garden bench, chatting, seemingly covering many subjects while sipping warm herbal tea! Our paths crossed again in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I had recently moved there to start a new life. I reconnected with this friendly gardener. He had also moved to Vancouver, intent on writing his first book in long-hand. I told him I could give him an old Apple Mac computer to use and teach him word processing as a more efficient way to write his new book. Eckhart Tolle was a willing student and mastered word-processing skills quickly. Our weekly meetings over the summer of 1996 left an indelible mark on me, and his first book became a global bestseller titled 'The Power of NOW.'

I went on to experience consciousness-expanding Ayahuasca ceremonies. This was very therapeutic for me in many ways, from the experience of the Black Panther moving through the jungle undergrowth to being fully embraced by a young infant girl spirit who called herself "Lily" thanked me for my unconditional love. She assured me that she chose not to take human life because her purpose was to teach me the previously agreed human experience of the great loss of losing an unborn child. My partner had a miscarriage a few years before. I went from being a baby carriage expert to utter devastation in what felt like a heartbeat. I always wanted to be a Dad, and I felt robbed of this experience for some time. In fact, I still have tears welling up as I share this with you. Not from pain, but from the memory of the joy I feel in recollection. Grateful for the lessons learned…I was however blessed to have spent real quality time with my partners own children from a previous relationship. These two young souls brought me great joy, love and pride as I witnessed their growth. Being a "step dad", and hopefully a friend for a time was a great honour for me. The saying "make memories" is true and these loving memories remain in a special little treasure box in my heart.

Additionally, my previous experiences seemed to provide me with an aptitude for remote viewing. I honed my RV skills under the guidance of the renowned RV instructor Echan Deravy, which led to my recruitment as a remote viewer for various agencies. Remote viewing, also known as extrasensory perception (ESP), is the practice of obtaining information about distant or unseen objects or events through paranormal means. My experiences in remote viewing further solidified my connection to the unseen realms and challenged conventional understandings of reality.

My journey wasn't just about personal exploration. I felt a deep responsibility to help others. I supported new immigrants and refugees, advocating for equity and inclusion. My passion for social impact led me to work with organisations dedicated to fostering a more just and diverse world.

My mainstream life saw me pioneering computer-based “Soft-Skills” training. I witnessed first-hand the transformative power of technology to unlock human potential.

Returning to Europe, I continued to explore but found it difficult to settle. Upon rejoining the family fold, I quickly realised I was a mystery to all generations of my immediate family and relatives. This led to a period of the classic, common rules in dysfunctional families. I was swiftly cast as the classical scapegoat, which wasn't surprising, given my role in that play! I hold no ill will towards other family members, whether alive or passed on. I believe they individually continue on their own life's journey, and I have reached a place of forgiveness and a sense of unconditional love for all of them. I've reached this level, in part, due to the love, friendship, support, belief, and trust in my authenticity that my wife offers me on a daily basis. We met in France and now make our home here. I count my blessings and express gratitude for her loving embrace and our meaningful, genuine interactions every day!

Since my return to Europe, I have had the opportunity to explore my passion for music, including serving as the seasoned Editor-in-chief of a top-flight Jazz magazine. This role allowed me to interact with many journalists, musicians, and industry professionals on a daily basis.

I also revived a skill-set that I had been previously known for: the art of storytelling through voice-over. I have always strongly believed in the power of the human voice to express with intention, especially from the heart and soul – a true art form of communication. My voice has been used and heard in many recordings around the world, and I have always found joy in it.

With my distinctive personality as an INFJ and a numerology name number of 11, I wholeheartedly embrace a life on the fringe, seeking insights and experiences beyond the ordinary. As my ongoing journey unfolds, unveiling new depths and insights of spiritual awareness, it is my hope that MeditatingAstronaut.com , its podcast “Spiritual Snacks & Cosmic Chats” , and my lyrics and composed music serve as my platform to share those insights and experiences, aiming to empower individuals to find their own inner spiritual STAR and contribute to the beneficial evolution of Humanity's collective consciousness.

Remember the Universe believes in You, and I do too..."
